STROFT is made up of the first 3 letters of STRONG and the last 3 letters of SOFT - combining strength and suppleness in a single name.

WAKU GmbH was established in 1983, and the STROFT name was created for their fishing lines.

Yes. The GTM has already been revised 43 times and the GTP 25 times. The names stay the same, but the lines never stop developing.

The soft foam ring largely seals the spool and protects the line from harmful light and UV radiation. It also allows the line to be pulled off smoothly without springing off the spool uncontrolled.

For braided STROFT lines, the STROFT special braid knot - printed on the spool or available in the catalogue - delivers up to 100 % of the rated breaking strain. For mono and fluorocarbon, the Grinner knot has proved itself.
